30th Annual Gardens in the Watershed tour a success

New Director to lead UMA Rockland Center beginning July 28

Eleni Margaronis will join the UMA Rockland Center as Center Director beginning July 28 bringing with her a wealth of knowledge in higher education and distance learning. Margaronis most recently was a Senior Learning Experience Designer at Northeastern University and served as Grant Program Manager of GEAR UP Maine, a program that “identifies and assists students and families from economically disadvantaged backgrounds starting in grade seven to aspire to, prepare for, enroll in, and successfully complete a post-secondary education.” More...

Huge Book Sale at the Camden Public Library

The Camden Public Library will soon be hosting its first major outdoor book sale in nearly two years. The used book event will run Thursday, July 29, through Sunday, August 1, and will be set up under a huge tent adjacent to the Blue Door Book Shed on Atlantic Ave. The book shed and event tent can be reached via the parking lot on the left just past the Camden Amphitheatre. Ten thousand books, DVDs, CDs, and audio books will be on sale from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Thursday through Saturday, and 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, on Sunday. More...
