Stuff the Truck to Benefit Pope Memorial Humane Society

Help us help the animals! Shepard Storage & Shepard Auto Group are partnering with Pope Memorial Humane Society to sponsor out First Annual Stuff the Truck Event during the month of July. Bring a donated item for the animal shelter into the Shepard Storage office at the Shepard Chrysler Dodge Jeep Dealership, 178 New County Road, Thomaston and place it in the truck. While there fill out an entry form to win one of six prizes, each with a value of $50.00 from a local area business. The certificate winners will be drawn on August 8th in joint participation with the Pope Memorial Humane Society and pictures or video posted to both Facebook pages. Horch Roofing Scholarships Invest in Midcoast Students Pursuing Trades Careers

Those who know anything about the region are drawn to its beauty, but often only know how to find the most well-known attractions, like the famed Cutler Coast trails, Quoddy Head State Park’s landmark candy-striped lighthouse, or Cobscook Bay State Park’s ocean-front campground.

On July 2, at 7:00 pm at the Camden Public Library, author and wildlife biologist Steve Bard will provide a presentation based on his book, Beyond Acadia: Exploring the Bold Coast of Down East Maine. Rockland Main Street, Inc. welcomes everyone to Downtown After Dark. A wide variety of Main Street destinations will be open until 7 pm (or later!) on Friday 7/5 and Friday 8/2 in conjunction with the First Friday Art Walk.
