Tech Talk: How to Avoid Online Scams, Malware, and Adware at Camden Public Library

On Thursday, December 5, from 1:30 to 3:00 pm, the Camden Public Library will host Daniel Hart, of Hart Computers, for a talk on the topic of avoiding online scams, malware, and adware. Hart’s programs are packed full of clearly presented, helpful information that is understandable — even if you aren’t tech-savvy. The library will deliver a series of free tech talks every first Thursday covering a different topic each month. These presentations are designed to help take some of the mystery and confusion out of navigating the ever-changing world of computers, the internet, and hand-held personal devices. Knox County Homeless Coalition-Adopt A Family

The holidays are upon us and the Knox County Homeless Coalition is looking for caring individuals to help bring the joy of the season to families in need. KCHC’s Adopt A Family program provides the community with an opportunity to make someone’s holiday a little brighter by purchasing gifts for homeless and recently housed individuals working with KCHC (ranging in age from newborns to seniors). West Bay Rotary Christmas tree fundraiser

The West Bay Rotary Christmas tree fundraiser is back again this year. Christmas trees, wreaths, and gifts from local artists including David Jacobson and Etienne Perret will all be available for sale at Maine Sport Outfitters parking lot, 115 Commercial Street, Rockport. Christmas By the Sea scheduled for December 6th – December 8th

Camden is especially festive on the first weekend of December as the community’s annual Christmas By the Sea celebration kicks off. The event begins Friday afternoon, December 6th. Throughout the weekend, Downtown shops stay open late and streets will be lined with decorations. Horse-drawn carriage rides will carry visitors along village streets to see the holiday sights.
