United Midcoast Charities Awards 2019 Grants

United Midcoast Charities (UMC) has announced its 2019 grant recipients. With this year’s awards, UMC’s total giving for the last three years alone tops $1.5 million to nonprofit organizations in Knox and Waldo counties.

14 Camden National Bank Employees Receive Annual Recognition Awards

On Thursday, September 19th, Camden National Bank held its annual Employee Appreciation Event at the Augusta Civic Center. Over 550 employees traveled from as far away as Calais, Maine and Braintree, Massachusetts to attend. On any given night in the Midcoast, Knox County Homeless Coalition (KCHC) is actively working to house 150+ people who are homeless—and to assist equally as many people who have recently been housed—guiding them to gain the skills necessary to maintain long-term housing and independence. New Hope for Women Offers Dine for Hope

New Hope for Women in Rockland will host a dinner at 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 24th at Penobscot Language School, 28 Gay Street in Rockland. MMW+C announces Michael Mansfield as President

Michael Mansfield has been named as the next President of the Maine Media Workshops and College (MMW+C) beginning in January 2020. Mansfield succeeds the current President, Meg Weston, who has led MMW+C for the last eight years and announced her retirement last February. She will be stepping down in January 2020.
