In A DOLL’S HOUSE, PART 2, many years have passed since Nora slammed the door that echoed around the world in Ibsen’s original Doll’s House. Now, there’s a knock on that same door. Nora has returned. But why? And what will it mean for those she left behind? Lucas Hnath’s play: “delivers explosive laughs while also posing thoughtful questions about marriage, gender inequality and human rights.” The Maine premiere of this play features direction by David Troup, design by Andrew White, original music by Nathan Davis, lighting design by Tom Sadowski and costume design by Elaine Bielenberg. The cast is Erin Christine Walsh, Christine West, Jen Hodgson and Paul Hodgson. Sunday matinees feature after show talks from drama professionals from our local universities about the plays' development and meaning from Ibsen to Hnath. The play opens on November 10 and runs for the next three weekends, with Saturday evening and Sunday matinees the first two weekends and Friday and Saturday evening performances on the last weekend.
