The final part of our exploration of J.S. Bach – HIS INFLUENCES AND INHERITORS led by performer and scholar of historical music and performance practice, John McKean. Joined by other musicians performing at the festival, this series of conversation concerts offer an opportunity to understand Bach in context and appreciate his impact through performances of several of his works for keyboard, strings, voices and mixed ensembles. John McKean performs with leading American and European ensembles, including Apollo’s Fire, Emmanuel Music, the Catacoustic Consort, Camerata Vocale Freiburg, and Habsburger Camerata, and counts among his live radio broadcast performances on NPR, BBC Radio 3, and Deutschlandradio Berlin. Zoot coffee and muffins are available before the concert.
