Becoming a Climate Change Artist

On the eve of Earth Day, Wednesday, April 21, 6:30 p.m., Marnie Sinclair from Damariscotta, Maine, will share her journey on how she became a climate change artist in a zoom presentation. This journey will take you from her childhood in a rich tropical Cuban environment to raising a family on a mini-farm, working in an art collaborative in Boston, making a movie and creating a book. Marnie also will exhibit her art at the Maine Coastal Islands National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center this summer. Our visitor center features a wall-size map of the entire coast of Maine and its islands We have a short film highlighting coastal islands and their value to wildlife, and the work of Maine Coastal Islands National Wildlife Refuge. There are exhibits, a gift store, an art gallery and an outdoor seabird island replica. We can recommend local hikes and puffin viewing trips. Admission is free.
