In this one week program on Hurricane Island, students will: - Find and forage edible plants to cook your own meal from nature. - Learn to identify native and invasive species and how they interact with their environments. - Collect data to help researchers learn more about the impact of climate change on the timing of natural events. - Practice sustainable living and learn about the systems and technologies that support our Island community, from solar panels to composting. - Explore the shores and forests of Hurricane and learn about it all, from microscopic to macroscopic! $1450 - All inclusive of transportation between Rockland and Hurricane Island, housing, meals, snacks, and all programming Financial aid available!:
