THS's 12th Home for the Holidays will be held at the Van Campen and Silverstein house at 54 Knox Street, Thomaston, the former Alpheus Sherman house, circa 1854. Wine reception on Friday night with music and a live auction by Bruce Gamage and silent auction from 5-7pm. The house tour and silent auction continues on Saturday from 10-3pm

The Thomaston Historical Society is an active organization offering free programs with guest speakers; historic materials for publications and research; celebrating General Henry Knox's birthday with the Knox Museum ; 'Home for the Holidays' gala showcasing a historic house in town; and hosting a museum where one can learn the history of the town beginning with the first explorers in 1605.
