Marlin Spike Hitch Cruise

Monday, August 19 – Friday, August 23, 2019

Event Time: 9:00 a.m

Schooner Boyd N. Sheppard
11 Front St, Rockland

This cruise includes all of Chef Adam's gourmet meals and spectacular views of sailing the Maine coast, with the added nautical charm of knotting lessons for those interested. All knot producing crafts are welcome, knitters, crochet, quilting, needlepoint, tatting, etc. Being on a schooner built in 1886 brings out the traditional sailor in all of us. This cruise offers the fun chance to learn some fancy knotwork and maritime crafts and build your skills that apply not only to living at sea but life on land. Learn and participate in a chance to make thump mates, Turk's head bracelets, lanyards, a ditty bag. Canvas, twine, and line included in the cost bring your own projects to work on too. All skill levels are welcome.
