This discussion will focus on how internship programs are an essential part of any employer’s workforce development strategy. Participants will learn about program best practices and how to start or strengthen their internship programs. Participants will hear about free resources available to them including specific details about the FocusMaine Intern Experience. All participants will leave the luncheon with a variety of contacts and next steps to expand their internship programs.
About the Speaker:
Jason Judd, Ed.D.
Deputy Executive Director, Educate Maine
Jason has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine at Farmington in secondary education English, a master’s degree from the University of Southern Maine in educational leadership, and a doctorate in organizational leadership studies from Northeastern University. He is a former teacher, guidance counselor, and academic dean. He is a member of the Maine STEM Council, Maine STEM Collaborative, and serves on the Advisory Committee for the Code.org Regional Partners nationally. He manages Project>Login and the FocusMaine Intern Experience. He has a variety of experience working with employers to grow and improve their internship programs.
