Palaver Strings: On the Nature of Daylight

Friday, January 24 –

Event Time: 7 PM

Union Hall
24 Central Street, Rockport

Looking through thin sunbeams and frosted windows, this concert finds warmth and comfort in the lengthening of the days. Beloved string ensemble Palaver Strings‘ program includes Winter from Vivaldi’s beloved Four Seasons, featuring acclaimed violin soloist Nicholas Kitchen, Max Richter’s On the Nature of Daylight, a musical meditation that juxtaposes desolation with pure beauty and gentleness. This light-filled program is anchored by Mendelssohn’s radiant Octet for Strings, which with its youthful brilliance, captures the promise of spring. Our Café Nights Series invites you to enjoy the intimate atmosphere of Union Hall, a complimentary glass of wine and an evening of inspiring music to start off your weekend in style. Tickets: Adults $30 ($3.00 ticketing fee applied at check-out) Under age 25 $10
