Rev. Sandra Mackie, a graduate of the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg, will be a guest speaker at Nativity Lutheran Church, 179 Old County Road, Rockport. Rev. Mackie's topic will be the “People, Culture, Land and Religions of Iran.” During the course of her ministerial life and following her retirement in 2018, Rev. Mackie has been committed to the ministry of peacemaking. She has traveled to Iran as a member of a Civilian Peace Delegation with Fellowship of Reconciliation, to Palestine with InterFaith Peace Builders and to Israel and Cuba. Since her retirement from parish ministry, Rev. Mackie devotes her time to advocacy and speaking for those who do not have a voice in our society. Nativity will host a potluck lunch in the Fellowship Hall. There will be time for questions and answers following her PowerPoint presentation.
