Power of Three

Saturday, August 21 –

Event Time: 5:30-6:30pm

Camden Public Library Amphitheatre
55 Main St., Camden

We’re delighted to welcome back the winner of the Andrew Wolf Chamber Music Award, pianist Orion Weiss, a sought-after soloist and superb chamber musician. Orion will be joined by violinist Alexi Kenney, recipient of a 2016 Avery Fisher Career Grant and a 2020 Borletti-Buitoni Trust Award, and named “a talent to watch” by The New York Times, which also noted his “architect’s eye for structure and space and a tone that ranges from the achingly fragile to full-bodied robustness.” Completing the trio is cellist, Zlatomir Fung, the first American in four decades and youngest musician ever to win First Prize at the International Tchaikovsky Competition Cello Division, and now poised to become one of the preeminent cellists of our time. Three creative powerhouses perform together in a program that is rich in harmonic and textural innovation and includes RAVEL’s magnificent Piano Trio, written on the eve of the First World War.
