Rolston String Quartet

Thursday, August 19 –

Event Time: 5:30-7:00

Camden Public Library Amphitheatre
55 Main St., Camden

An acclaimed quartet who perform “with a maturity and cohesion rivaling the best string quartets in the world” (Musical Toronto), Rolston String Quartet have been honored with the 2018 Cleveland Quartet Award from Chamber Music America and major prizes in the Banff, Bordeaux and Chamber Music Yellow Springs competitions. The quartet’s debut CD, Souvenirs, was released in November 2019 on the Fuga Libera label. Their program includes SCHUMANN’s beloved piano quintet, which has had such a significant history with Bay Chamber over the 60 years since the organization was founded. Tormented by mental illness, SCHUMANN’s beautiful mind was able to create deeply expressive sound worlds, still tenderly loved and appreciated centuries later.
