Set on a beautiful 20-acre riverside campus, the museum provides entertaining and engaging activities for visitors of all ages. Indoors, explore air-conditioned galleries and exhibits with interactive activities for everyone and buy unique maritime gifts in the Museum store. Outdoors, see how many of the world’s greatest wooden sailing ships were built as your guide takes you on a tour the intact historic Percy & Small shipyard to be awed by the life-size sculpture of Wyoming, largest of them all. Learn about lobstering; watch skilled craftsmen build wooden boats; tour a Victorian-era shipbuilder’s home; or see the remains of the last American clipper ship. Seasonal attractions include “insiders” trolley tours, daily cruises to view Bath Iron Works and area lighthouses, docent-guided tours, shipbuilding and nautical demonstrations..
