The Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce is the voice of business and tourism in the Camden-Rockland Region, encompassing more than 20 communities
within and surrounding Knox County.
The Chamber coordinates dozens of events annually and offers countless areas of support and resources for our members and our region. Here is a sampling
of resources offered by the Chamber:
The Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce operates visitor centers in Camden and Rockland, supporting our local business members and providing information and referrals for area visitors seeking suggestions about local shopping, dining, lodging, events, professional services, sightseeing and recreational opportunities.
The Camden Visitor Center is located in the heart of downtown Camden, at 2 Public Landing, adjacent to the inner harbor. The Rockland Visitor Center is located at 25 Park Street. In 2019, more than 20,000 walk-in visitors were greeted in Camden and Rockland by volunteers and/or staff members. Each visitor center is open over 300 days annually.
The Jewel of the Maine Coast
Our annual regional guide is 150 pages full of vital connections and information for residents and visitors alike. We partner with Down East Magazine to publish 65,000 copies, and distribute them in our visitor centers, via mail, and make them available for pick up in literally hundreds of locations across New England.
The Jewel is available online as an interactive ‘flip book’ as well, offering user-friendly search tools and direct links to all of the published
member websites. The digital Jewel is available for viewing on the home page of this website. The Jewel flip book gains over
7,000 unique visits annually!
