‘Outboard Basics’ covers a complete overview of 2 & 4 stroke gas powered motors, including the electronic fuel injection system. You’ll change oil, drain the carburetor and plan a maintenance schedule. Scott Lord provides the motors and instructs for 6 Monday evenings, starting Jan. 27th.

‘PSS’ (Personal Support Specialist) runs for 8 Mondays from 8am to 2:15pm and prepares participants to work in home health care or residential settings. The course includes visits to area facilities, training on personal care, communication skills, how to observe, report and document, deal with emergencies and provide safe care. Issues on consumer rights, aging and illness are covered. State certification is awarded upon successful completion of skill components and written exam. The course begins Jan. 27th.

‘Machining Basics’ is designed for beginner machining students. The focus is on the basic setup and operation of a milling machine, drill press and lathe. The course runs Mondays for 8 weeks from 4:30-7:30, starting Jan. 27th.

‘Computer Essentials Basics’ provides a nuts-and-bolts reveal of how to use technology efficiently in a work setting. This covers the PC operating system, Microsoft Office applications, and communicating professionally. This hands-on course for beginning computer users in the workforce runs for 5 Monday evenings, starting Feb. 3rd.

‘Communicating With Your Children from Child to Teens’ is a 3-session interactive workshop that discusses a Transactional Analysis personality design and its significance for effective communications with your child. The course meets on Wednesday evenings, starting Feb. 5th.

‘Be Captain: Be Stress Free’ offers strategies for how to be captain of your life, including stress and challenges. Reduce worry and anxiety from life’s pressures; replace stress with organization and balance. The class runs for two Wednesday evenings, starting Feb. 5th.

‘Watercolors’ with Audrey McGlashan begins on Feb. 5th and runs for 6 Wednesday evenings. No matter if you’re just beginning or progressing as a painter, Audrey pulls you in and leads you to satisfaction and success.

‘Aerial Lift Training’ teaches how to safely and correctly operate aerial lifts and scissor lifts. Reduce your risk of injury (or worse) with this 3-hour OSHA-compliant training. The course runs on Saturday, Feb. 8th from 9am to noon.
