Workforce Solutions and the Rockland Career Center are partnering together to host an  Industry Spotlight: Banking and Finance Forum on October 17, 2017 at the Rockland Career Center from 10:00-11:30 am. Coastal Counties Workforce, INC (CCWI) has identified 5 growing, high-demand career pathway sectors. (Banking and Finance, Transportation & Logistics, Information Technology, Healthcare and Advanced Manufacturing. ) "CCWI is the entity (mechanism) working on behalf of the Region’s Local Board and CEO to ensure their responsibilities under federal workforce development law and federal funding are met. CCWI’s jurisdiction includes Maine’s six coastal counties (York, Cumberland, Sagadahoc, Lincoln, Waldo and Knox).

The Career Pathway Banking and Finance Forum on October 17, 2017 will be the first of five forums. The forum in October will focus on the Banking and Finance career sector. There will be a panel of representatives from; The Department of Labor, Workforce Solutions, CCWI, Maine Quality Centers, Vocational Rehab, Adult Education and Economic Development. It is our goal to provide the Banking and Financial industry with an opportunity to learn about the resources available as a sector and to gain understanding of their workforce develop needs.

The Maine Bankers Association is promoting the event to their membership and the Executive Director of the Penobscot Bay Chamber of Commerce, Tom Peaco will be our commentator for the forum.
