Heavenly Threads Thrift Shop donated over $32,000 to local non-profits in 2018

Posted March 05, 2019

Heavenly Threads Thrift Shop is a mission of the First Congregational Church of Camden. Proceeds from the Thrift Shop support many local non-profit organizations in Knox County. In 2018 alone, more than $32,000 was donated locally. Some of the recipient organizations include The Camden Area Christian Food Pantry, Coastal Opportunities, Knox County Homeless Coalition, New Hope for Women, Penquis, Meals on Wheels, Pen Bay YMCA, Parent Program of Mid-Coast Maine, Rockland District Nursing Association, Coastal Children's Museum, Area Interfaith Outreach, and Mid-Coast Recovery Coalition.

In order for Heavenly Threads Thrift Shop to continue to support these local groups, we rely on the continued support of this wonderful community we all work and live in. There are several ways that you can help us with this! You can donate your gently used household items, jewelry, books, artwork, crafts, fabrics, toys and clothing to us. You can shop with us. You can become a Heavenly Threads volunteer. Or, you can help just by spreading the word of our mission. Heavenly Threads is open Tuesday-Saturday, 10 am to 4 pm  (and Mondays, starting April 8). Donations are accepted anytime within our operating hours. Please feel free to call us with any questions at 207-236-3203, visit us online at www.camdenucc.org, or like us on Facebook.
