International Games Week (November 3-9, 2019)is an initiative run by volunteers from around the world to reconnect communities through their libraries around the educational, recreational, and social value of all types of games. The Camden Public Library will have a robust schedule of free programs all week long to celebrate this event.
Monday, November 4, at 4:00 pm — Puzzle Club: Puzzle-lovers of all ages are welcome to this weekly gathering to socialize and work on puzzle projects together. Meets every Monday.
Tuesday, November 5, at1:30 pm; Thursday, November 7, at 6:00 pm; and Saturday, November 9, at 11:00 am — Learn to play Mah-Jongg: Teacher Chris Sady and other experienced players will help teach newcomers the how-to's of the ancient game of skill, strategy, and chance culminating in a play-a-thon on Saturday. Come to one or all three sessions! Space is limited. Call 236-3440 to register.
Wednesday, November 6, at 2:00 pm — Board Game Bonanza: A wide variety of games will be out on tables in the Picker Room for all to enjoy. This is a great opportunity to play a favorite game with friends or learn a new one!
Friday, November 8,at4:00 pm — Chess Club: Whether a beginner or an experienced player, everyone can get something out of this program. A variety of resources will be used to improve chess knowledge. For more information, contact email@example.com.Meets every Friday.
