The holidays are upon us and the Knox County Homeless Coalition is looking for caring individuals to help bring the joy of the season to families in need. KCHC’s Adopt A Family program provides the community with an opportunity to make someone’s holiday a little brighter by purchasing gifts for homeless and recently housed individuals working with KCHC (ranging in age from newborns to seniors). Through the generosity of local businesses, organizations, and community members, more than 100 families are helped each year through the Adopt A Family program.
Those interested in participating in this program are encouraged to call KCHC at: 207-593-8151 or email the "Chief Executive Elf" at email@example.com to sign up or get more information. Family wish lists with ages, genders, and sizes (when appropriate) are being distributed. If you choose to participate, wrapped gifts should be delivered back to KCHC by Dec. 6, 2019.
