Living Christmas Tree returns to Thomaston, Nov. 30-Dec. 2

Posted November 24, 2018

The 22nd annual Living Christmas Tree returns to Thomaston the weekend of November 30, with a performance of “The Glory of Christmas” by Lloyd Larson. The Tree’s community chorus will sing at Thomaston Baptist Church on Friday at 7:00PM, Saturday and Sunday at 4:00PM. This event is free of charge, while donations to assist toward the cost of the performance are appreciated.

The idea of the Living Christmas Tree is credited to the wife of a veterinarian from Augusta. It was first a community event and a local celebration by Augusta area singers performing on tiers rising up into a tree. In 1997 the Tree migrated to Thomaston Baptist Church and has been performed annually since.
