Pies on Parade is this weekend in Camden and Rockland!

Have Plans for the weekend? Get ready to get Pie-filled during the 16th Annual Pies on Parade Weekend January 24 – 26, 2020 in Camden and Rockland, ME.

There are three events throughout the weekend: Friday night Silent Auction and Pie Gala, Saturday Pie Scavenger Hunt in Camden, and the 16th Annual Pies on Parade Pie Tour on Sunday in Rockland. Best of all, every dollar raised goes to help Midcoast Maine families who are facing food insecurity and need help staying warm this winter through the Area Interfaith Outreach (AIO) Food Pantry, Energy Assistance and Child Hunger programs.

Friday Night – Silent Auction at Rock Harbor Tap Room 6pm to 8pm (no ticket required)

Kick start the Pie weekend with an expanded silent auction, pie samplings and free food, entertainment, brewery tours and cash bar at Rock Harbor Tap Room and Brewery located at 5 Payne Avenue in Rockland. Look for overnight getaways, gift certificates, products, artwork, pies and much, much more. Over 85 auction items and still more coming in. Saturday Scavenger Hunt in Camden 11am to 4pm (ticket required)

Saturday afternoon Camden businesses will host a pie-themed scavenger hunt contest. Explore downtown Camden, collect clues and sample 17 pies. Many merchants offering sales/discounts to Pies on Parade ticket holders. Submit your completed entry form for a chance to win one of 6 prize baskets with gifts from your favorite Camden businesses. This is twice as many baskets as last year!! Each basket valued at over $200. There is something for everyone! Check out Pies on Parade Facebook page to preview the prize baskets.

The Camden Public Library will be showing a pie-themed movie, Chicken Run, at 1pm and serving Apple Pie A La Mode Popcorn. No ticket is required for the movie.

Sunday is the 16th Annual Pies on Parade in Rockland 1pm to 4pm (ticket required)

The Historic Inns of Rockland are joined by Rockland and Camden, ME businesses and restaurants to welcome hungry pie eaters to Rockland’s downtown for the 16th Annual Pies on Parade Pie Tour, Sunday, January 26. Pie lovers will sample more than 35 different pies at 24 businesses, restaurants and inns throughout Rockland. This is not your average pie-in-the-sky event. Move aside Mom’s apple pie, Rockland’s inns, businesses and restaurants will serve up everything from sweet pies, Shepherd’s Pie and gourmet pizza pies, quiches, whoopie pies and the signature Key LimeRock Pie.

Although walking between venues helps to burn calories, All Aboard Trolley will provide free transportation at designated stops, making it more efficient to hit as many pie stops as possible, especially those on either end of town.

  • Attend both the Saturday Scavenger Hunt in Camden and the Sunday Rockland Pie-on-Parade – a 2-day Combo Ticket is $40 for adults; $15.00 for children 10 and under
  • Saturday scavenger hunt tickets are $15 per person with children under 10 free
  • Sunday tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for children 10 and under.

Tickets will also be available on sale the day of the event

  • Saturday at the Penobscot Bay Chamber of Commerce Office in Camden from 11am to 2pm
  • Sunday at the Penobscot Bay Chamber of Commerce Office in Rockland from 11:30am to 2pm

AIO is a non-profit organization that provides food and energy assistance to any and all families and individuals in need throughout Knox County, Maine. They are our neighbors and hard-working families trying to make ends meet. Some face unexpected medical issues. Many are elderly and have worked hard but now struggle on a limited income.
