Posted September 05, 2019

West Bay Rotary is pleased to announce the winners of the 2019 Chowder Challenge. The event was held on Saturday, August 31st at the Camden Windjammer Festival. Each year at the event, West Bay Rotarians serve up chowder from local participants and for a small fee, people get to taste all the chowders and help choose the winners.

Congratulations to the winners -

1st Place – Graffam Bros. Seafood Market

2nd Place – Wave Cafe at Camden Hills Regional High School

3rd Place – Waterfront Restaurant

Other participants this year were Quarry Hill, Sea Dog, Lobster Pound, and French & Brawn. With the help of the participants, club members and their families, the sponsors, and the people who purchased tickets and voted, West Bay Rotary is able to continue the Chowder Challenge each year during the Camden Windjammer Festival and raise money that will benefit non-profits and charitable organizations.

Twice a year, West Bay Rotary Club, through its charitable foundation, provides financial support to organizations that work to improve the lives of people in Knox County and the Town of Lincolnville. Applications are available on their website at www.westbayrotaryofmaine.org. The next application deadline is October 1, 2019.
