Kathryn Oliver captivated visitors to the Camden Public Library last June with her month-long exhibit of ethereal paintings in the Picker Gallery. Oliver returns to the Camden Public Library on Tuesday, February 11, at 6:30 pm to give a presentation on the symbolic world of Iconography (also known as “windows into eternity”) in the mystical tradition of the East.
The Camden-based artist will discuss how myth and poetry are areas of study and contemplation that she returns to throughout her creative work — in painting, photography, film, and theater. Oliver will give her personal perspective on how Iconography and “the spiritual power of Mary” have influenced her artistic journey.
